About
Kia ora, I'm Jack.
I build software from Invercargill, at the bottom of the South Island of New Zealand. I like products that make ordinary life measurably easier, built properly for the place they live in rather than translated from somewhere else.
Right now that mostly means KiwiBudget, and alongside it the odd tool for NZ businesses through Bryder Holdings Ltd, the New Zealand company behind everything I ship.
What I'm building
The budgeting app made for NZ money
KiwiBudget connects to New Zealand banks through open banking, sorts your spending on its own, and answers the only question that matters: what can I actually spend until payday? It understands StudyLink, IRD tax codes and KiwiSaver, because a budget built for another country's money never quite fits.
It launches on 16 November 2026, starting with students, and there's a Whānau plan so families can budget together while everyone's numbers stay their own.
